If you have grip issues, then you need to get stronger. But at some point, chalk will be necessary. Olympic lifts, pullups, and deadlifts will go better when you chalk up. (Never, never, never wear gloves when lifting weights thinking that gives you better grip. Ok, well, if you have some special situation, maybe. )
